Role: Data Analytics Intern
My journey with Vephla Uni has truly been a life-changing experience. When I first decided to dive into tech, I was filled with doubts and fears, wondering if I would be able to keep up or if I’d even be good enough. A close friend of mine had actually introduced me to Vephla. She finished her course here too, landed a job right away, and her success really inspired me. I thought, "If she can do it, maybe I can too".
From the very start, Vephla's approach to teaching was like nothing I’d ever seen before. Each class was followed by practical tasks that were not just assignments, but real, actionable steps toward mastering the content. It was intense, but in the best way possible. The tasks were challenging and came with deadlines that kept me on my toes, and as tough as it was, it built a kind of discipline and accountability in me that I didn't know I had. I started setting alarms to make sure I stayed on top of everything; sometimes even waking up early just to finish my work. And you know what? It worked. I found myself breathing through the tasks, knowing exactly what to do and how to tackle them, even when I was half-asleep.
One of the key lessons from my Mentor; Dev. Richard that I’ll always carry with me is the importance of sharing your work. Vephla emphasizes this so much, and it’s something I’m so grateful for. We were encouraged to post our work regularly, and doing that opened doors for me. Sharing my projects on LinkedIn led to the internship opportunity I have today. It’s not just about doing the work; it’s about getting it out there, letting people see what you can do.
Also, a huge part of my growth came from the opportunity to collaborate with other students on real-world projects. We're put into teams with other students from different specializations within vephla, like project managers, front-end engineers and designers to help analyze their activities during a software project.
Another thing that really stood out to me was my mentor, Dev. Richard. His advice, especially the phrase, "You must keep at it till you hit it," really stuck with me. It gave me the motivation I needed to apply for a data analyst internship, using the portfolio that my mentor had helped us build and fill with our projects. And guess what? I got the role! Now, as a data analyst intern, I’m putting everything I’ve learned into practice and gaining real-world experience that’s truly making a difference in my career.
My time at Vephla has sincerely built confidence and given me the tools to succeed in the real world. The discipline and accountability that come with having assignments and deadlines have prepared me to handle any challenge that comes my way. Honestly, I can’t say enough about how much this journey has changed me. Vephla didn’t just teach me how to be a data analyst; they’ve helped me become someone who’s ready to take on the world.
I’ll always be grateful to my mentor, to Vephla, and to the entire team who supported me through this journey. Their push, their belief in me, and their commitment to giving us real-world skills were absolutely worth it. If you’re thinking about taking the leap into tech, trust me, this is the place to be. You’ll be challenged, yes, but you’ll also be prepared in ways you never imagined. It’s not just about the skills, it’s about becoming the best version of yourself. Thank you, Vephla, for helping me realize that!
