My journey at Vephla University has been a huge turning point for me, especially because I never imagined myself in a tech field. Coming from a non-tech background, I was honestly a little scared of getting into tech. I’d always been interested in design but wasn’t sure if I could handle all the technical stuff. But starting at Vephla changed everything.
As a Product Design student here, I’ve been able to dive right into design thinking, user experience, and product development. The way Vephla teaches made even the trickiest parts of tech feel approachable, and I quickly found myself building skills I never thought I could have. The hands-on projects and real-world focus helped me get past my fear of "not being technical enough," and before I knew it, I was actually enjoying every moment of it.
The support here has been incredible, from my classmates to the amazing mentors we have. I’ve been especially lucky to work closely with my mentor, Mentor Eva. Her guidance has been a game-changer for me. She understands how intimidating tech can feel when you’re just starting out, especially for people who didn’t grow up in it. Mentor Eva believed in me from day one and encouraged me every step of the way. With her support, I was able to build a solid portfolio that really shows who I am as a designer. She’s always been there to give advice, help me push through doubts, and make sure I was ready for whatever came next.
A few months ago, I applied for a Creative Designer role, and honestly, I was nervous. But walking into that interview, I felt prepared because of all the hard work and real-life projects I’d done at Vephla. When I showed my portfolio, which was packed with actual projects from my classes, the interviewers could see how passionate I am about design. They knew I’d had real experience, not just classroom learning, and I think that made all the difference. To my surprise, they offered me the job right on the spot, even though I’m still finishing my studies at Vephla!
Looking back, I’m so grateful for how far I’ve come. Vephla’s tough deadlines and hands-on projects really pushed me, and I learned to be confident in my skills. I never thought I’d be working in tech, let alone landing a job in design before I graduated. Vephla gave me that confidence, and Mentor Eva’s support made the whole experience feel possible. Thanks to Vephla, I’m ready to step into the world of Product Design and make my mark.
I couldn’t be more excited about what’s next!
